Change the Story, Change the World
I am a 20-something photographer, organizer, and freelance writer cultivating compassion, community, and curiosity.
The goal of “my” work is to connect others to the precarity, wonder, and interdependence that exists all around us in the human and non-human world. In doing so, I hope to share and spark a sense of curiosity, compassion, and commitment to a world we all deserve while bringing to light stories and perspectives that may have never crossed your path otherwise. .
In an era of loneliness, information bombardment, simplicity, and fear the best antidotes are community, mindfulness, complexity, and connection.
The content shared on this website is just a small part of my own complex story and journey. My experiences and passions have been influenced by various people, cultures, countries, and tribulations. And as time progresses, these experiences and influences will only grow.
I am grateful for all those (human and non-human) who inspire me to inspire others. When sharing content, it is from a place of compassion and awareness of imperfections and impermanence - as I personally am constantly evolving and growing every moment with every new interaction - trying to live in the question.
”Live the questions now. Perhaps you will then gradually, without noticing it, live along some distant day into the answer.”
- Maria Rainer Rilke
Though we are always growing and immersing in the complexity of it all, I think it’s important to always be aware of the inherent power dynamics and inequalities that exist in our current moment. Echoing the late Howard Zinn, “You can't be neutral on a moving train.” And damn, the train is moving. Nevertheless, the subjectivity I share with others will always be guided by compassion and humility. In my experiences, objectivity is often subjectivity in disguise, so I won’t pretend about that, but I will make it clear where my subjectivity comes from.
Cheers to the journey and thanks for stopping by!
