Change the Story, Change the World
I am a 20-something photographer, organizer, and freelance writer cultivating compassion, community, and curiosity.
The goal of “my” work is to connect others to the precarity, wonder, and interdependence that exists all around us in the human and non-human world. In doing so, I hope to share and spark a sense of curiosity, compassion, and commitment to a world we all deserve while bringing to light stories and perspectives that may have never crossed your path otherwise. .
The content shared on this website is just a small part of my own complex story and journey. My experiences and passions have been influenced by various people, cultures, countries, and tribulations. And as time progresses, these experiences and influences will only grow.
I am grateful for all those (human and non-human) who inspire me to inspire others. When sharing content, it is from a place of compassion and awareness of imperfections and impermanence - as I personally am constantly evolving and growing every moment with every new interaction.
I believe how we tell, choose, and share stories and creations can change the world over time - and for the better. I also firmly believe in lifting up the voices of those who have been ignored and systematically silenced over the centuries and even in our present moment. I will always do my best to share and lift up content from these spaces.
Because of the inherent power dynamics and inequalities that exist in our current moment, I will echo the late Howard Zinn who once said, “You can't be neutral on a moving train.” The subjectivity I share with others will always be guided by compassion and humility. Objectivity is often subjectivity in disguise, so I won’t pretend about that, but I will make it clear where my subjectivity comes from.
Cheers to the journey and thanks for stopping by!
